There has long been a season in Japan when the gods go to Izumo for meetings.
Beyond a place called Kurisuno, they wandered deep into a certain mountainous area, walking backwards along endless mossy paths and crushing fallen leaves, to find a ramshackle house that would burn down immediately if a single fire was set.
